Welcome to the End of Tokens

Rival is now free for individuals. No monthly subscription. No token limits. No artificial cap on how much you can build.

Why we are making Rival free

For years, the AI industry has asked people to pay for intelligence one token at a time. Every question has a cost. Every experiment uses a credit. Every useful workflow makes the meter run faster. The more value you get from AI, the more expensive it becomes. That model may work for AI companies. It does not work for builders.

So we are ending it.

Rival is now free for individuals. No monthly subscription. No token limits. No artificial cap on how much you can build.

Create unlimited agents, workflows, functions, MCP servers, and knowledge. Use RivalBot. Publish your work to the Marketplace. Earn when other people use what you built.

You pay only for the tools you choose to use and the compute required to run them.

That is it.

Welcome to all-you-can-eat AI.

Tokens Were Built for Providers, Not People

Almost nobody wants to think in tokens. Humans think in work.

We want to research a market, analyze a document, build an agent, automate a process, or launch a product. We don't want to calculate how many pieces of text the job consumed along the way. And increasingly, we couldn't calculate it even if we wanted to.

Modern AI doesn't just answer a prompt. Agents reason, search, call tools, generate code, retry steps, and work through problems autonomously. A seemingly simple task can trigger an unpredictable chain of activity behind the scenes. That makes token-based pricing more than confusing and the cost of AI fundamentally difficult to predict.

You start a task without knowing exactly what it will consume. You iterate without knowing what the next attempt will cost. And sometimes the first time you understand the true cost of the work is when you see the bill.

That's backwards.

Businesses should be able to budget for AI based on the work they want to accomplish, not the invisible computational steps required to accomplish it. Token pricing forces customers to absorb the complexity of the provider's cost structure. And it punishes the innovation and experimentation that AI platforms claim to encourage

Every great AI tool starts with trial and error. Builders test prompts, compare models, change instructions, add tools, rerun workflows, and improve the output. When every attempt carries an unpredictable incremental charge, people become cautious at exactly the moment they should be curious.

They experiment less. They build less. They use less AI. And ultimately, they discover less of what AI can do.

What All-You-Can-Eat AI Means

Rival gives individuals unlimited access to open source AI without charging by the token.

You can build as many agents, workflows, functions, and MCP servers as you want. You can experiment, test, revise, and start over without worrying that every prompt is draining a token balance.

There is no subscription required to build. There is no token package to buy. There is no monthly allowance to ration. All-you-can-eat means you are free to think, build, and experiment without counting every interaction with AI.

What is Free

Every Personal Workspace includes:

  • Unlimited agents

  • Unlimited workflows

  • Unlimited functions

  • Unlimited MCP servers

  • Unlimited knowledge

  • RivalBot

  • Unlimited open model access without token charges

  • Access to the public Rival Marketplace

  • Free publishing to the Marketplace

  • The ability to monetize what you build

You can bring an idea to Rival, turn it into working AI, publish it, and build a business around it without paying a platform subscription.

What You Pay For

Free should not require an asterisk hidden at the bottom of the page.

Rival makes money in two clear ways:

  • Paid Tools: Builders can set a price for the agents, workflows, functions, and MCP servers they publish to the Rival Marketplace. If you choose to use a paid tool, you pay the price shown. The builder earns 85% of that revenue. We take 15%.

  • Compute: AI tools need infrastructure to run. You pay for the compute your work actually uses. You are not paying for tokens, a seat you do not need, or a bundle of credits that may expire. You are paying for the tool and the computing power required to run it.

Tools and compute. Nothing else.

Why We Can Do This

The current economics of AI were built to drive consumption. Rival is built to create value.

GraphX is designed to help open-source AI models run more efficiently across different GPU types and environments. CortexOne intelligently routes workloads to the compute that best fits the job. Together, these technologies are designed to reduce the cost of running AI and give Rival more control over how work is executed.

Instead of passing a token bill directly to every user, we can give people access to AI and charge transparently for the tools and compute that create value.  More efficient, flexible infrastructure creates better economics for everyone

Free Builders Make the Entire Platform Stronger

Giving Rival away is not charity. It is a strategy. The more people who build on Rival, the more useful Rival becomes.

A developer creates a function. A marketer turns it into a workflow. A company adopts it across a team. Another builder improves it for a different industry. Each new tool gives the next person a better place to start.

This creates a marketplace where:

  • Builders can create without upfront costs

  • Experts can turn their knowledge into reusable tools

  • Companies can adopt proven solutions instead of starting from zero

  • Great work can keep earning long after it is published

  • The entire ecosystem improves as more people participate

Traditional software platforms build the product and sell access to it. Rival gives builders the platform and lets them expand what it can do.

AI Should Become More Useful As You Use More Of It

The old model tells you to watch your usage. We want you to use more.

Build the strange idea. Run the workflow again. Try another model. Turn the manual task into a function. Connect the tools. Publish the result. Let someone else make it better.

AI should not become more restrictive as it becomes more valuable. It should disappear into the work.

No token anxiety. No paid subscription just to experiment. No permission required to build.

This is the End of Tokens

Rival is free because the future of AI depends on participation, not rationing. We would rather have millions of people building than a smaller group carefully guarding a monthly token balance. We would rather make money when real value is created than every time someone asks a question. We would rather count outcomes than tokens.

Build for free. Publish for free. Pay only for the tools and compute you use.

The meter is off.

Now go build something.
