Every time you build something on Rival, you have a choice. Keep it private for yourself or your team. Or publish it to the Rival Marketplace, where other people can discover it, use it, and pay to run it.
The best part? You only have to build it once.
Whether you created your solution yourself or had RivalBot build it for you, publishing follows the same process. Once it's live, your tool or agent becomes part of the Marketplace, helping other users solve the same problem while giving you the opportunity to earn from every run.
Why Publish?
Publishing isn't just about sharing your work, it's about turning it into an asset.
When you publish to the Marketplace, you can:
Help other people solve the same problem you've already solved
Build a reputation as a Rival creator
Receive ratings and feedback from the community
Improve your solution over time with new versions
Earn every time someone runs your public tool or agent
Not every solution belongs on the Marketplace, and that's okay. Internal workflows, company-specific automations, or personal assistants may be better kept private. But if you've built something others could benefit from, publishing lets your work continue creating value long after you've finished building it.
Step 1: Prepare Your Listing
Think of your Marketplace listing like an app store page. It's often the first impression someone has of your solution. Whether you're publishing an agent or a tool, make sure your listing clearly answers three questions:
What does it do?
Who is it for?
Why should someone use it?
A strong listing includes:
A clear, descriptive name
A concise overview focused on the outcome it delivers
A category that helps people discover it
An image or avatar that makes it recognizable
If RivalBot built your solution, much of this information is already generated for you. Review it, personalize it if needed, and make sure it accurately reflects what you've built.

Step 2: Complete Your Solution
Before publishing, confirm that everything your solution needs is included.
If you're publishing an agent
Review:
Instructions that guide how the agent behaves
Connected tools and integrations
Sub-agents, if your workflow requires additional reasoning
Appearance and Marketplace settings
If you're publishing a tool
Review:
Runtime and compute settings
Code and testing
Documentation and version history
Categories, tags, and overview
Take a few minutes to test everything before publishing. A polished first experience leads to better reviews and more adoption.

Step 3: Choose How to Share It
When you're ready to publish, you'll choose how your solution is distributed.
Private (Unlisted): Your solution stays private and can only be accessed through a direct link or within your workspace.
Ideal for: internal company workflows, personal automations, solutions that aren't intended for public use
Marketplace: Your solution becomes searchable and discoverable by everyone on Rival. Other users can adopt it, run it, rate it, and if you've set pricing, you'll earn 85% every time it's used.
Step 4: Set Your Price
If you're publishing publicly, you'll choose a Price per Call. Every time someone runs your tool or agent, that's what you earn. Not sure what to charge?
Use the Help Me Calculate option to estimate pricing based on your solution's complexity and expected usage. You can always adjust your pricing later as your solution evolves.

Step 5: Review and Publish
Before your solution goes live, Rival automatically reviews it to make sure everything required to run successfully is included. This review checks for things like:
Missing information
Required configuration
Incomplete setup
Publishing requirements
If something needs attention, we'll let you know exactly what to fix. Your solution remains private while you make updates, and you can resubmit it whenever you're ready. Once it passes review, your solution is live in the Marketplace.
What Happens After You Publish?
Publishing isn't the end, it's the beginning. As people discover your solution, they'll be able to:
Run it
Leave ratings and feedback
Benefit from future updates you release
You'll be able to improve your listing, release new versions, update pricing, and continue earning as more people adopt your work. The best Marketplace creators don't publish once. They continue refining their solutions based on real-world usage.
TL;DR
Don't let a great solution stop with you. If you've built something others can use, publish it to the Rival Marketplace. Once approved, your tool or agent becomes discoverable, reusable, and available for others to run.
